X-Guide: Computer-Guided Dental Implant Surgery

X-Guide Navigation graphicThe X-Guide system is designed to elevate the surgeons’ control and precision over the entire dental implant process, including planning and placement. Interactive, turn-by-turn guidance during live surgery gives the ability to visualize precise movements of the hand piece during implant surgery and implant delivery for more exact implant placement – it’s like GPS for the drill. This results in the ability to consistently deliver a more desirable, functional and aesthetic outcome in dental implant surgeries. In other words, your dental implant surgery becomes much more predictable and much more precise.

“X-Guide fills the final gap of digital dentistry. Dynamic 3D navigation allows the dentist to use all the 3D digital information at their fingertips in real-time to immediately use their Cone Beam 3D scan to plan and place implants. The surgeon can fully guide their cases even when clinical alterations are necessary because the system embraces flexibility.”

– Dr. Robert W. Emery, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

Using our Cone Beam CT Technology and our Trios Intra-Oral Digital Scanner in conjunction with the X-Guide system, we are now able to not only visualize your bone anatomy, but we can combine that information with your teeth and gums (using our intra-oral digital scanner). From there, we can digitally create your future tooth in its ideal shape and size. Using robust treatment planning software with the X-guide system, we can then plan your implant surgery with ideal placement of the dental implant, taking into account, depth, angulation and position, to precisely support the future ‘tooth’. Once this planning has been done, the X-guide system is used with its cameras to precisely track the drills during implant surgery, to ‘navigate’ the implant into its exact pre-planned position (taking your bone anatomy and the future tooth into account).
